What you get when the ring opens.

Waitlist members aren't sitting on a generic email list. We're building your ring before you get in — mapping your mutuals, scoring your network, queuing your matches.

Priority based on graph density.
The more mutuals you have on TRR already, the higher you rank on the waitlist. Connect your socials to surface your ring instantly.
First-look at every listing.
Open rooms in your ring get sent to you before they go public on the broader platform. Move first, not last.
Pair-up matching, day one.
Find your roommate before you find the apartment. Get paired with someone whose mutuals overlap with yours, then hunt as a team.

How priority works.

No first-come-first-served. The waitlist re-ranks daily based on how connected and complete you are.

Three ways up
01
Connect your social network.
Link Instagram, LinkedIn, or your phone contacts so we can map who you know. Higher mutual density = higher position.
+20–200 spots
02
Refer friends in your city.
Each invite that joins the waitlist in your city moves you up 3 spots and them up by 5 (we want the dense networks first).
+3 spots per referral
03
Complete your lifestyle profile.
Sleep schedule, smoking, pets, work-from-home patterns. Profiles below 60% complete don't get onboarded — matching needs the signal.

"In 2014 we built TRR because Craigslist roommate searches felt like interviewing strangers to decide who could see you in your towel. Mutual-friend matching skips that step. Your network already knows who you'd actually live with — we just made it searchable."

Common questions.

We onboard 50–200 waitlist members weekly per active city. Average wait is currently 3–5 weeks in NYC and Boston, 1–2 weeks in LA and Chicago. Connecting your socials and completing your profile dramatically shortens the wait.
Yes. It's not first-come-first-served. The ring works better when dense networks onboard together — so members with more mutuals on TRR already get prioritized. That's also why your friends moving up helps you move up.
No, but it helps. If you connect a social network at signup, we'll show you which of your existing contacts are already members or waitlisted. If none are, you can still join — you'll just rank lower until your ring fills in.
Your social graph is used only to compute mutuals on TRR — never sold, never used for ads. Your contacts aren't contacted by us unless you specifically invite them. You can disconnect any social account at any time.
