Open room — Bed-Stuy brownstone
I'm Sarah. I'm an architect, and I live in a four-bedroom Bed-Stuy brownstone with three other working professionals. A room is opening up, and we'd rather fill it through The Room Ring than bring in a total stranger with no context.
We're a real household, not a revolving door. Sunday dinners happen a lot of weeks, we split a weekly cleaner, and we try to keep drama low while still being friendly.
The house
The brownstone has two floors, a shared backyard with a grill, and two full bathrooms for four bedrooms. Morning schedules are different enough that the bathroom situation has not been a daily fight.
Your room is on the second floor with a big window and enough space for a queen and a desk. The kitchen has a dishwasher and gas range. The living room fits a couch and a table big enough for group dinners.
Who lives here
Tomás works at a startup. Aisha works at a nonprofit. Cole is a hospital resident with unpredictable hours. We're all in our mid-twenties to early thirties, working full-time, and generally decent about trash and dishes.
House culture
Weeknights are quieter. Weekends vary. Sunday dinner is optional but common. Guests are fine if you give us a heads-up, especially for overnight visitors. We're not a party house, but we're not a monastery either.
Who we're hoping to find
Someone in their mid-to-late twenties with a full-time job and low drama. If you need conflict to feel alive, this is not the house for you.
The neighborhood
We're about a ten-minute walk from the G and A trains. Saraghina, Casablanca, and Pequeña are nearby. The block feels residential, not like you're living in a hallway.
Rent and timing
Rent for the room is $1,300 a month. We're aiming for a July 1 move-in, with a little flexibility if the fit is right.
Message us on TRR with your work, move-in timing, and anything non-negotiable about schedule or pets. Specific notes get faster replies than a generic "I'm interested."
