I'm James. I'm leaving San Francisco for a three-month project in New York starting in June, and I need someone reliable to take over my one-bedroom while I'm gone.

The apartment is furnished and ready to move into. My cat Esme lives here too. She's easygoing, but if you're allergic to cats, this won't work.

The apartment

It's a real one-bedroom on a quieter block off 24th Street, about a four-minute walk to BART. The bedroom fits a queen comfortably. The living room has a proper desk setup, not just a kitchen table you work at all day.

The kitchen is normal for San Francisco: full-size fridge, gas range, and enough counter space to cook without feeling cramped. Bed, desk, dishes, and cookware stay in the apartment.

There's a small gym in the building. Laundry is in a laundromat two blocks away, and there's a drop-off pickup on Thursdays if you'd rather not do it yourself.

What I need from a subletter

Someone quiet, tidy, and comfortable living alone for three months, with a possible one-month extension depending on how my project ends. No smoking. No parties that turn the living room into a venue.

If something breaks, Esme is acting weird, or a neighbor stops by about a package, I need you to text me. I respond quickly, and I'm not looking for perfection. I just want the place treated like a home.

The neighborhood

This is the southern Mission, which is calmer at night than the Valencia side but still close to groceries, coffee, and good food. La Taqueria is two blocks away. BART is four minutes on foot.

Rent and dates

Rent is $2,400 a month for a three-month term starting in mid-June. Utilities and wifi can be rolled into rent if that's easier. Security deposit is one month. We'll do a walkthrough with photos at move-in so we're on the same page.
